Chris Tiegreen writes some of the most provocative, challenging devotionals I've every read. I buy them as gifts as well as using them for my own inspirational reading. This book is packaged beautifully in dark red simulated embossed leather, and is a joy to handle and to give. The price is amazing for such a lovely product, as well. Highly, highly recommend it to anyone who wants something deeper in a devotional.

This is the best devotional book I've ever used. It has just the right balance of scripture and practical application. I read the book daily for two years and will use it as my devo book again next year. There were so many times that the thoughts for the particular day were just what I needed to hear because of the things going on in my life. I have given a number of these books as gifts to graduates, newlyweds, and family members. Everyone who reads it also gives it good reviews. Excellent devotional book!

I like this devotional because it is short and causes me to take time out and think about practical ways to live out Christianity in my life- in spite of my busy schedule and limited time with a baby!
I highly recommend it. The leather cover is very nice- a good quality design and meaningful and accurate content- not light/fluffy nothing-ness.

This devotional is written in everyday language. Its ideas are lofty, but not pretentious, its verse is fluent but not unreadable. The author had the "every day" person in mind when he assembled this devotional. It's worth owning an every day copy.

This devotional book is wonderful. It draws us into the Lord's presence by focusing us upon His Word and letting it sink down deep. I have used this book for about a month now as a guide in times of quiet meditation upon the Lord each day, "chewing" on each passage of Scripture throughout the day. Allowing the Lord to speak to us through His Word is exactly what is needed in these days where we are surrounded by so many other voices. This book is a faithful guide in helping us to focus upon that One Voice that is needed above all the rest. Each day the book gives a passage of Scripture to meditate on, a short devotional and a quote -- all of which center us upon the words of Jesus. I highly recommend it as a "springboard" in your times of private worship. Just sit long enough to let the Lord speak to you and really hear what He is saying. You won't be disappointed.
