5 out of 5 stars Don't forget the Poor.   September 7, 2008
W. Forst (Webster Groves MO USA)
Jon Sobrino writes what the first world is unwilling to br /read. He gives the USA a gantle painting of our society. br /If our consciousness if up to date it will be a hard reading br /for us of the USA. He paints a beautiful picture of the poor br /in Central,South America, and Africa. A poor that we do not experience here in teh USA. Even the Churches of the FIrst WOrld have a very br /difficult time understand the place of the poor in refernce to br /Jesus. A must read. br /Fr. William Forst AUthhor of "If Aristotle Ran the Catholic Church'.

5 out of 5 stars Very good book on liberation theology   July 26, 2008

I think Jon Sobrino is one of the few modern writers who truly understand the gospel. This is probably his best book. It lays out a challenge for us first world rich Christians, but probably one we cannot meet. It gives us glimpse of where we need to go, and encouragement to take a few steps along that path. br / br /David Lowe br /
