Always entertaining Veggie Tales. Not quite as good as early editions. Still, wonderful teaching tool for children.

This DVD is a great way to start watching The Veggie Tales collection of shows. The programmes/movies are warm hearted and a lot of fun - the star of the show being Larry the Cucumber. All the Bible Heroes shows are good and definately worth buying for your children. After the 'Bible Heroes' DVDs I'd recommend Jonah - A Veggie Tales Movie and then perhaps one of the older but still classics such as 'A Snoodles Tale' - which my children adore.
Other Christian products I'd recommend are:
Godstone - The Kairos Boxes
Case for a Creator for Kids, Updated and Expanded (Case for... Series for Kids)
Joseph - King of Dreams

My son never grows tired of watching this video. He's been watching Veggie Tales since he was a year old and this one is his all time favorite. The songs are catchy and the characters are engaging, he smiles and laughs throughout the entire DVD. And I love the message of each story, like loving your neighbor and standing up for what's right and for what you believe in--even when no one else will. I have friends who aren't church-goers who shy away from videos with religious themes and they've been at my home while the video played and never even realized it was a religious video. As one friend put it, "it's not too 'churchy'". So I feel like the videos really do appeal to the masses because their messages are applicable to everyone, not just those who are looking for a religious theme.

Rack, Shack, and Benny is one of my favorite Veggie Tale episodes. The others included here are great too. Well worth the purchase.
