Album Description An energetic blend of pop, soul, and gospel, Canadian-based band Newworldson introduced its fresh sound to CCM audiences with the release of Salvation Station in 2008. Salvation Station received rave reviews from critics, including ChristianityToday.com who called it one of the top 1 albums of 2008. Now on February 9, 2010, the industry buzz band returns with its highly-anticipated, self-titled follow up project. Produced by Newworldson and Justin Koop, the album features additional production by Tawgs Salter (Josh Groban, Elliot Yamin, Lights) on the lead single "There Is A Way," now charting at Adult Contemporary radio. The 12 song album packs a power punch of funky grooves, danceable rhythms and praise-inspiring lyrics, fashioning a style that is uniquely Newworldson. Recorded at B Town Sound in Burlington, Ontario, the record also features guest appearances by The Toronto Mass Choir and Michel DeQuevedo on percussion. Additional songs include "You Set The Rhythm," "Listen To The Lord," "Rocky Road," and "That's Exactly (How I Like It)," currently at Christian Hit Radio. Renowned for its thrilling live performances, Newworldson has shared the stage with artists like newsboys and Kutless and has been featured on major slots at festivals both in North America and Europe. Don't miss your chance to see Newworldson for yourself in 2010 to see what everyone's raving about!

Contemporary & Relevant May 20, 2010 F. Serrano (St Petersburg, FL United States) This is one of my favorite cd's of the year! Newworldson is a terrific contemporary Christian band with a timeless message in a current format! Totally awesome! Both young and mature audiences will enjoy this cd. They incorporate contempo, rock, pop, even a little bit of a reggae/calypso style in this one. A must buy!
Great CD! May 13, 2010 Surprise Party I bought this CD after hearing "There Is A Way" on K-Love. I thoroughly enjoy the entire CD - many great songs - the "Jamaican Praise Melody" is very catchy & fun - I just wish they listed the lyrics for that song (the lyrics are listed for every song except this one). I have teenagers who also enjoy the CD. I highly recommend it!
Did It Again May 7, 2010 NorthernR The first album of theirs was awesome, gets played a lot in my shop while I'm working. This one is even better. Great mix of styles. Good jonb guys. Keep it going. Renews my faith that there are serious musicians out there instead of the rabble/pablum on klov.
Wow! April 22, 2010 S. Long (cincinnati, ohio) Prophets in 2010? Who would have thunk?
In the past prophets would go from city to city speaking God's word giving His people truths as they related to their time in history. Here we have those very same prophets speaking to millions on devices called CD's. If we have eyes to see and ears to hear!
Their jazzy melodies and bayou rhythms inspire you to sing along. Can't wait for their next!
Energy filled music for the soul April 19, 2010 J. Hartman (Lancaster, PA United States) I've been enjoying every song on this CD and can't quite figure out how to categorize it. I've read some call it soulful Gospel music. There is also some island beat in there. The words hit home and carry the Truth to the masses. There is a driving, yet catchy beat on all of the songs. I love Rocky Road for the bluesy groove and Commander for the heavy driving bass. That's Exactly is a good crossover song. I really like the Beatles-like guitar riff on In Your Arms. Hard to get out of your head. There is a Way reminds us all of the love that Christ has for each of us - the Truth and the Life and the Way. All around one of my favorite albums.
